Censoring words like “abuse,” “rape,” “sex,” “molest,” etc. has never helped a single survivor in the history of ever. It is nothing more than a concession to a puritanical culture that wants to silence survivors. Do not give this culture a single inch. Stop censoring scary words.
I’ll also add: the cutesy rhyming slang for serious topics is inappropriate and disrespectful unless you’re actually trying to get around a platform censorship guidelines. It’s not “sewer-slide”, it’s suicide. It’s not “grape”, it’s rape. Just use the proper words and pay the topic the respect it deserves.
